What does it mean to invest in San Francisco right now – and how can we put more philanthropic resources to work in the communities we care about?
Join #HalfMyDAF and a cross-section of San Francisco nonprofit and philanthropic leaders for a conversation about the role donor-advised funds can play in strengthening our city. This event is an opportunity to celebrate the impact of DAF giving, connect with fellow philanthropists, and reflect on what we can accomplish when we come together in support of our local San Francisco community.
We're looking forward to highlighting the impact of #HalfMyDAF and the distribution of more than $2 million in matching funds. Since 2020, #HalfMyDAF participants have reported more than $100 million in DAF grants to nonprofits, demonstrating how philanthropists can come together to strengthen communities and create meaningful impact through their donor-advised funds. We will be joined by #HalfMyDAF co-founder, Jennifer Risher, and matching pool funder, Laura Spivy.
Designed for nonprofit board members, philanthropic leaders who have a donor-advised fund (DAF), and those considering establishing one, this gathering is an opportunity to connect with others who care deeply about San Francisco, hear what local organizations are seeing and responding to across the city, and explore how DAFs can be a powerful tool for turning charitable intentions into action.
This isn't a fundraising pitch or an event focused on any one organization. It's a chance to come together across causes – from education and food access to housing, health, workforce development, arts and culture – and think bigger about what it means to invest in the city we share.
Come ready to meet people, exchange ideas, and leave inspired to put more philanthropic dollars to work for San Francisco.
